Schools, Schools, Schools!

We had the opportunity to visit a one-room schoolhouse and a rural school in the Great Northern Elementary District 312 this week. As a group, I think we all found the visits really interesting and enjoyed discussing the differences and similarities in our own countries. It was interesting to see how many of us would like to teach in small schools, and how some of us thought the challenges would be too high.

I particularly enjoyed the visit to the rural school. I found the tour and presentation a real, true and honest insight into the challenges and opportunities of working in such a school and how the school played such an important role within the community.
